ADMINISTRATOR, PURE BUILD ENVIRONMENT - $70K, Toronto, Ontario
We are currently seeking an expert in
Configuration Management and build tools for a Software Development firm.
The Software Administrator plays an integral role within the development
team responsible for maintaining the document and source repository,
performing release management for the group, and updating, writing and
automating all Configuration management processes where possible.
The main responsibilities include; Planning
and documenting build and release procedures and release packaging,
maintaining the document and source repository for all software development
performed by team members, automating administrative processes, assist in
maintaining CMM level 2 and ISO 9001 conformance, write and maintain the
software configuration management plan, coordinate the development and
maintenance of the team intranet website, develop and implement enhanced
configuration management processes to improve the productivity and
effectiveness of the department.
More duties include; Maintaining and
enhancing the procedures and scripts for creating the product builds and
releases, providing training and support to team members on department’s
configuration management and defect tracking tools, managing and
administering the software build process. Periodic build activities to
include exporting Software to customers, both source code and binaries,
exporting Software under escrow agreements as well as release build
activities to include administration of software branches when there are
multiple versions, are part of the tasks for this role.
You must possess skills, academic training
and experience in scripting languages and possess Software administration
experience. You must also have experience with source code control tools,
software release procedures and configuration management. We are looking
for Windows software development experience with familiarity of Unix
environments. A minimum of 2 years experience in Software Development as an
Administrator is required.

SENIOR SAS METHODOLOGIST, KEY HEALTH
INDICATORS to $95 K, Toronto Ontario
The Senior Methodologist is responsible
for leading the successful completion of many of the analytical
activities assigned to the Health Indicators team. These activities
include the application of a broad range of advanced statistical methods
to lead the development and reporting of health indicators related to
health system performance and the health of the population. Some of
these activities involve working collaboratively with Statistics Canada.
The Senior Methodologist will also provide valuable input into the
design of indicator reporting tools and research studies. The Senior
Methodologist will improve and accelerate the production of new and
actionable health information that is relevant to decision-makers at the
regional, provincial and pan-Canadian levels. The Senior Methodologist
plays a key role in ensuring that the indicator outputs reported by the
health indicators team are accurate and relevant. This experienced and
highly skilled individual will be a key member of the health indicators
team and contribute to the reputation of the organization, as an expert
in the development and production of health indicators. This position
works collaboratively with the Manager, Health Indicators to achieve the
objectives of the Health Indicators team.
Responsibilities
The
SM KHI leads the analytical aspects of multiple health indicator
development and reporting projects in a way that supports the overall
objectives for the Health Indicators team while overseeing the
successful completion of the analytical work required by the Health
Indicators team.
Developing and implementing analytical
plans for developing and reporting health indicators as well as
preparing analytical plans and ensuring quality outputs and on-time
completion of analytical work.
As the SM KHI, developing risk
adjustment and multi-variate statistical models consistent with the
analytical plans for indicator projects is crucial. Overseeing the
application of these models in the production of indicator outputs is
also important.
Serving as an expert resource on
methodological issues related to indicators and the analysis of health
data while supporting other areas as well as to external stakeholders
such as provincial ministries, regions, hospitals and researchers.
Knowledge and Experience
PhD or Masters
degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology or related field; or equivalent
education/experience. PhD would be a definite asset. Over 5 years of
relevant experience in leading, managing and carrying out advanced
analytical activities across a broad range of health services research
projects. Extensive experience working with health indicators would be
an asset. Extensive experience using a broad range of health-related
administrative databases, including experience with record linkage.
Strong project management skills and extensive experience supervising
and developing analytical staff. A very high level of proficiency with
SAS and other statistical software. Experience with SQL would be an
asset.
Salary is in the
$95K Range, 6 weeks of Vacation to start.

PROJECT / PROGRAM LEAD, DECISION SUPPORT

are currently seeking a Health Informatics specialist to lead and
develop Information Services for internal and external requests using
three main National Databases; the DAD or Discharge Abstract Database,
The National Ambulatory Care Reporting System and Morbidity databases.
The
Program Lead will coordinate the development and implementation of
Information. Services in response to requests from national Public and
Private Healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
This
role determines detailed user requirements in consultation with clients
for ad hoc and customized retrieval of information reporting packages,
as well as the design of these services, including the preparation of
cost and time estimates for its delivery.
Part
of the tasks for this role evaluates all external requests for
information in accordance and compliance with Internal
Confidentiality/Data Access Policy as well as preparing reports for the
Privacy, Confidentiality and Security Committee as required.
The
position works with Management, other Program Leads and other
departments to ensure that requests are assigned the proper priorities,
acknowledged and communicated to the client within the stated time
frames.
As a
Program Lead, the role oversees the development of program code, logic
and support documentation as well as providing work direction and
training to Senior Analysts.
Background and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Health Information management, Health Care related
discipline or Computer Science. Graduation from a recognized Health
Record Administration Program is a great asset. Five years experience
in a health care related information management/processing environment
as well as knowledge of the DAD, NACRS and Morbidity databases and
current report writing tools.
Your
ability to conceptualize information retrieval solutions and your
ability to plan and co-ordinate workloads effectively will ensure
success in this role.
Salary range is $75-80K, plus 6 weeks of Vacation per annum to start.

SENIOR SAS ANALYST,

The Senior Analyst is responsible for
carrying out advanced data analyses related to the development of
content for the annual health report and for other special studies. The
Senior Analyst may also work closely with members of the external
research community to define data requirements and to collaborate on
joint initiatives.
Responsibilities
The SA Health
Reports assists with the identification of policy-relevant topics for
the annual health report and other special studies and with the
methodological design of the resulting studies.
You must be able to write and execute advanced computer analyses
required for the development of these analytical topics. Providing
advice regarding appropriate analytic approaches and assisting in
providing direction to the analytic staff related to the execution of
the project plan is part of the work as well.
Conducting literature reviews and
preparing written material to be included in reports. As well as
conducting ad hoc analyses to support data requests, liaising with key
internal or external stakeholders to fully define data and/or other
analytical requirements is part of this role. Assisting with the
production and dissemination of research results relating to the
analytical work conducted, including but not limited to data
verification and presentation preparations is also within the realm of
the SA of Health Reports.
Knowledge and Experience
A graduate degree or experience in
health services research, health administration, epidemiology or a
similar field or equivalent skills and experience. Three plus years
experience in the manipulation and analysis of statistical data from
administrative health databases. Experience in literature review
research and analysis. Three plus years experience in the preparation of
statistical and descriptive reports. Advanced knowledge of SAS
(e.g. significant experience and or familiarity with linear and logistic
regression, mixed models, time series analyses, etc.), and experience
with Microsoft Office is required. Experience with Oracle and/or SQL is
an asset. Knowledge of the Canadian health care system. Strong
interpersonal and communication skills. Fluency in both official
languages is an asset.
Salary is in the $60-65K range, 5-6
